Nuflor^® 2.3% Drinking Water Concentrate for Swine

Nuflor^® 2.3% Drinking Water Concentrate (DWC) is a concentrated, fast-acting water medication for swine containing florfenicol. Each milliliter (mL) of Nuflor^® 2.3% Concentrate Solution contains 23 mg florfenicol.

• Broadest spectrum water-delivery drug available.
• Quickly moderates clinical signs while protecting healthy pigs from disease.
• Approved in the EU for the treatment and prevention at the group level where clinical signs are present of swine respiratory disease associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida, and approved in the US for the treatment of SRD associated with A. pleuropneumoniae, P. multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis, and Streptococcus suis.
• Short 5-day program for mass medication of an entire building or herd.
• Administer in the drinking water at a rate of 100 ppm florfenicol, delivering a target a dose rate of 10 mg/kg BW/day.
• Palatable.
• Short (20-day) withdrawal period.

Applications and timing

• For prevention and treatment of PRDC in growing and fattening pigs.
• Begin treatment at onset of clinical signs.
• For acute disease when feed consumption is low or bins are full.
• For acute disease when pigs need to be medicated immediately.
