ResPig Economic Simulation
Welcome to the demo version of the ResPig Economic Simulator. This is a condensed version of the advanced Economic Simulator within the ResPig Tool. The advanced version is only made available to registered ResPig users.
The Economic Simulator was developed to assist in determining possible economic effects of specific vaccination schemes that can be implemented on pig farms to reduce economic losses caused by respiratory diseases. Taking into account different severity levels for different pathogens, the economic effect on each intervention strategy is simulated.
The simulations are based on scientific field data that are applied to the farm specific input to calculate the economic effects of vaccination.
The result of the simulation already includes the cost of vaccination (incl. labor) for the vaccinations selected in the vaccination program.
The actual achievements made on a particular farm can differ from the results of the economic simulation. The accuracy of the simulation's output is depending in the accuracy of the input. Natural variation between different farms can be another reason for such deviations.
