M+PAC® is an oil-and-water adjuvanted vaccine for control of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo) in pigs. M. hyo is a major contributor to Porcine Respiratory Disease Complex (PRDC).
M+PAC® incorporates a unique adjuvant, Emunade, to accelerate and prolong immunity to respiratory disease in swine. Emunade helps potentiate the antibody response generated by M+PAC® while minimizing tissue irritation and enhancing flowability, even in cold temperatures.
M+PAC® has test-proven superiority: in tests conducted by independent research facilities, M+PAC®- vaccinated pigs demonstrated:
The result is M+PAC® is very efficacious and protective against Mycoplasma pneumonia.
Vaccination with M+PAC® as a two-dose program: the first 1mL dose is given intramuscularly (IM) at 7 days or more of age and a second dose 1mL dose is given IM 14-28 days later.
Vaccination with M+PAC® as a one-dose program: M+PAC® has also been demonstrated to provide excellent disease prophylaxis when administered as a single 2 mL dose IM from 21 days.
M+PAC® can provide 100% seroconversion, which gives veterinarians an excellent tool for monitoring vaccination compliance. The 6 months duration of immunity with either the one-dose or two-dose program provides protection all the way to market.
For more detail about M+PAC® see the Description.
Merck Animal Health also has Porcilis M Hyo and Myco Silencer® ONCE available for the prevention of M. hyo infections.
orcilis M Hyo offers a quick onset of immunity, a 20 week duration of immunity after the second vaccination and no interference by maternal antibodies.
Myco Silencer® ONCE was specifically developed and designed as a single dose Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae bacterin.
The three vaccines give customers flexibility in their choice of M. hyo control.
