Porcilis® PCV

Porcine Circovirus (Associated) Disease (PCVD) is now recognized as a global, epizootic disease that causes significant economic losses to pig producers. Porcilis PCV® is an inactivated subunit vaccine against PCV developed and produced in Boxmeer, the Netherlands.

Porcilis PCV

Porcilis PCV® is an emulsion vaccine containing Porcine Circovirus type 2 ORF2 subunit antigen. It is recommended for use from 3 weeks of age but can be used from 3 days of age. If early vaccination is required, it could be repeated at 3 weeks of age.

The vaccine is indicated to reduce the virus load in blood and lymphoid tissues and to reduce weight loss associated with PCV2 infection occurring during the fattening period.

Advantages of Porcilis PCV

  • It reduces viremia and shedding of the virus.
  • It is able to overcome MDA.
  • Long protection - up to 22 weeks after vaccination, due to the high antigen content.
  • Vaccination scheme: one dose of 2 Ml at 3 weeks of age.
